1. Introduction
In accordance with Article 37 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (“General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR”) and Section 38 of the Personal Data Processing Law of the Republic of Latvia (Fizisko personu datu apstrādes likums), adopted on 21 June 2018, DroTurKorg Baltijas Grupa SIA (hereinafter referred to as “DTK Group”, “we”, “us” or “our”) has appointed a Data Protection Officer to oversee compliance with data protection laws and principles.

3. Role and Responsibilities
In accordance with Article 39 of the GDPR and Section 39 of the Personal Data Processing Law of the Republic of Latvia, our Data Protection Officer is responsible for:
– Informing and advising DTK Group and its employees about their obligations under the GDPR and other data protection laws (Article 39(1)(a) GDPR)
– Monitoring compliance with the GDPR, other data protection laws, and our internal data protection policies, including assignment of responsibilities, awareness-raising and training of staff involved in processing operations (Article 39(1)(b) GDPR)
– Providing advice regarding Data Protection Impact Assessments when requested and monitoring their performance pursuant to Article 35 of the GDPR (Article 39(1)(c) GDPR)
– Cooperating with the supervisory authority, the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija) (Article 39(1)(d) GDPR)
– Acting as the contact point for the supervisory authority on issues relating to processing of personal data, including the prior consultation referred to in Article 36 of the GDPR (Article 39(1)(e) GDPR)
– Being available for inquiries from data subjects regarding all issues related to the processing of their personal data and the exercise of their rights under the GDPR (Article 38(4) GDPR)
The Data Protection Officer performs these tasks with due regard to the risk associated with processing operations, taking into account the nature, scope, context, and purposes of processing, as required by Article 39(2) of the GDPR.

6. Response Time
Our Data Protection Officer endeavours to respond to all legitimate queries without undue delay and, in any event, within one month of receipt of the request. This period may be extended by a further two months where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests. In such cases, you will be informed of the extension within one month of receipt of the request, together with the reasons for the delay.
7. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you are not satisfied with the response from our Data Protection Officer, in accordance with Article 77 of the GDPR, Section 32 of the Personal Data Processing Law of the Republic of Latvia, and Section 2, Paragraph 1 of the Law on Submissions (Iesniegumu likums) of the Republic of Latvia, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

The procedure for submitting complaints to the Data State Inspectorate is regulated by the Administrative Procedure Law of the Republic of Latvia (Administratīvā procesa likums), adopted on 25 October 2001, as amended.
You also have the right to an effective judicial remedy against a supervisory authority pursuant to Article 78 of the GDPR, and against a controller or processor pursuant to Article 79 of the GDPR.
