Complete lift modernisation
AN INTELLIGENT SOLUTION
Safe and Reliable Lift Operation
The control system and traction machine are among the primary safety components ensuring secure and reliable lift operation. During complete modernisation, both these components are replaced, along with the overspeed governor, suspension ropes, door operator and lift car interior finishing, ensuring maximum safety and reliability.
Enhanced Passenger Comfort
Complete lift modernisation ensures enhanced passenger comfort. Replacement of the lift car door operator results in smoother door opening and closing operations. After car modernisation, which includes cladding the walls and ceiling with stainless steel, the car's aesthetic appearance is significantly improved.
Quieter and More Precise Operation
The new lift control system helps prevent frequent malfunctions, provides more reliable control and reduces power consumption. With a modernised traction machine, the equipment operates more quietly and safely. The new traction machine also ensures more precise car stopping at floor levels. Following door operator replacement, the lift doors will open and close more smoothly, whilst the car operating panel and landing call buttons will function more reliably.
Extended Service Life
Complete modernisation not only increases lift performance but also extends its service life.
What is Replaced During Complete Lift Modernisation?
During complete modernisation, the main lift components are replaced: control system and electrical installation, traction machine, suspension ropes and overspeed governor. The existing cabinet door operator is also replaced.
The traction machine is responsible for lift ascent, descent, braking and precise stopping at floor levels. When this mechanism becomes worn, the resulting vibration may cause discomfort to passengers, and lift operation may become exceptionally noisy.
The new traction machine not only consumes less electrical power but also guarantees more precise car stopping at landings.
The lift control system ensures safe and reliable operation. Many residential buildings still utilise dated relay-based and electromechanical control systems, which frequently malfunction due to mechanical component failure and wear over extended service periods. A lift with such a control system may become unsafe due to the possibility of short circuits in worn control system wiring and travelling flexible cables connecting the car to the control cabinet.
The old relay-based control system is replaced with a new microprocessor-based system, which not only occupies less space but also provides more reliable lift control. Additionally, it incorporates modern safety components and an energy-efficient system.
The door operator ensures smooth door opening and closing. The existing door operator constantly wears from frequent lift usage, thus it is replaced with a new unit. The result is smoother and more uniform door operation.
Cabinet. In older lifts, the car ceiling, floor and walls are often affected by corrosion, whilst the cabinet operating panel and call buttons are damaged. The existing cabinet is clad with stainless steel, the cabinet operating panel is replaced, and wear-resistant flooring is installed – all of which enhance the lift cabinet’s aesthetics.
When is Complete Lift Modernisation Required?
Complete lift modernisation becomes necessary when the lift’s main components show significant signs of wear, the lift frequently malfunctions and becomes unsafe for use.
